The leaked key visual showcases the notable female characters of Rent-A-Girlfriend, namely Chizuru, Mami, Ruka, Sumi, and the newly introduced Mini, each adorned in breathtaking outfits. Previously, the anime had unveiled a similar key visual featuring the same characters, beautifully attired in white dresses. One standout visual portrayed Mami paying homage to the iconic opening scene of the Hollywood classic Breakfast At Tiffany’s, exuding Audrey Hepburn’s timeless grace in a black dress, accentuated with pearls, while elegantly holding a croissant and a cup of coffee.

The eagerly awaited third season of Rent-A-Girlfriend is slated to premiere on Friday, July 7, 2023. The season will once again be animated by the esteemed production studio TMS Entertainment in collaboration with Studio Comet. Many of the seasoned staff members from the previous seasons have returned to work on the third installment, with the exception of Kazuomi Koga, who has been succeeded by Shinya Une as the new series director.

Shinya Une, previously serving as an episode director for the anime, will now take the helm as the series director for Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 3. The returning staff includes Mitsutaka Hirota as the scriptwriter, Kanna Hirayama as the character designer, and HYADAIN as the music composer, ensuring a seamless continuation of the series.

According to the synopsis provided by Kodansha US, the official publisher of the English version of the Rent-A-Girlfriend manga, the series delves into the complexities of love and the concept of renting relationships. The synopsis reads as follows:

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

“Can you rent a girlfriend, but can you buy love? After a devastating breakup, Kazuya turns to Chizuru, a beautiful and polite rental girlfriend, for solace. However, the depths of his despair may be far greater than anticipated. Chizuru is not merely the charming facade he bargained for; she possesses layers of complexity. In modern-day Japan, “rental” services can provide companionship in the form of a “friend,” a “parent,” or even a fake girlfriend.”

The synopsis further reveals the gripping twists that unfold as Kazuya, a hapless freshman, navigates the challenges of renting an emotional connection. Unbeknownst to Chizuru, her secret side job as a rental girlfriend becomes intertwined with Kazuya’s life in unexpected ways, leading to moments of panic and revelations.

For fans eagerly awaiting the release of Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 3, it is worth noting that the previous two seasons of the series are currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll, the platform holding the distribution rights.
